ADA webinar tackles end of student loan repayment pause

Free Sept. 6 event will discuss refinancing considerations, repayment options

Federal student loan payments will resume in October for the first time since their COVID-19 suspension in 2020, and the American Dental Association and Laurel Road are here to help explain what that means for dentists with student loan debt.

A free webinar, How to Prepare for the Return of Student Loan Payments, will take place from 6-7 p.m. CDT Sept. 6. Laurel Road, the ADA Member Advantage-endorsed provider for student loan refinancing, will discuss refinancing considerations, implications of the end of the federal loan repayment holiday and student loan repayment options.

Speakers will include James Wanamaker, D.D.S., incoming vice chair of the ADA New Dentist Committee, Alex Macielak from Laurel Road and Mackensie Ellis from GradFin.
