The American Dental Association will have a full roster of continuing education in 2025, giving dentists multiple opportunities to earn credits the way they want.

Course types include live workshops and seminars, live webinars, online courses, and New Dentist Learning Networks.

Adam Saltz, D.M.D., a periodontist and member of the ADA New Dentist Committee, is a speaker for both a New Dentist Learning Network taking place in January and February, Implant Surgery and Prosthetics for New Dentists: A Comprehensive Approach, and a Feb. 8-9 live workshop, Treatment and Case Planning: An Interactive Walkthrough for New Dentists.

"I'm excited to be part of both curriculums, which reflect the broader, evolving landscape of continuing education,” Dr. Saltz said. “They offer dentists online and hands-on experiences, making it easier than ever to access relevant information that can be immediately applied in practice.”

The ADA’s CE schedule through June includes:

• Jan. 9-Feb. 27: Implant Surgery and Prosthetics for New Dentists: A Comprehensive Approach (New Dentist Learning Network).
• Jan. 15-Dec. 10: Oral Surgery Skills for Female General and Pediatric Dentists (New Dentist Learning Network).
• Jan. 24: Relicensure CE for the Dental Team (live webinar).
• Jan. 24-25: TMD and Dental Sleep Medicine Workshop (live workshop).
• Feb. 8-9: Treatment and Case Planning: An Interactive Walkthrough for New Dentists (live workshop).
• Feb. 21: Pediatric Clinical Updates and Relicensure CE for Dental Teams (live webinar).
• March 6-May 8: Indirect Restorations Certificate for New Dentists (New Dentist Learning Network).
• March 7: New Skills for Every Dental Assistant (live webinar).
• March 7-8: Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) Imaging (live workshop).
• March 21: MATE Act Training for Opiate Prescribers (live webinar).
• April 11: Oral Cancer Diagnosis and Management for the General Dentist and Team (live webinar).
• April 11-12: Pediatric Skills Workshop for Dentists (live workshop).
• April 25: Relicensure CE for Hygienists (live webinar).
• May 16: Relicensure CE for the Dental Team (live webinar).

“The implant surgery and prosthetics network covers everything from implant placement to final restorations, giving dentists the tools and confidence to manage and maintain simple to complex cases,” Dr. Saltz said. “The treatment and case planning workshop takes an interactive, case-based approach to interdisciplinary care, helping attendees refine their diagnostic skills through collaborative, real-world scenarios. Both courses cater to different learning styles, ensuring that new dentists in particular have what they need to enhance patient care and succeed in their practice."

Elevate, a leadership conference from the ADA and Entrepreneur magazine taking place March 28-30 in Washington, D.C., will help dentists gain a clear leadership vision, expand their networks, learn from leading voices in dentistry and earn CE credits.

The ADA will also host a symposium June 13-14 in Chicago titled Dentistry’s Role in Complete Health 2025: We Make People Healthy. During the event, dentists will explore the relationship between oral and overall health and learn how they can become leaders in the battle against chronic diseases.
