ADA 10 Under 10: Meet Dr. Adam Lowenstein

Award honors new dentists for demonstrating excellence

Dr. Lowenstein

Adam Lowenstein, D.M.D., of Massachusetts — one of this year’s recipients of the ADA 10 Under 10 Award — combines his love for sports with dentistry through various charity events, bringing dentists together for golf and pickleball tournaments.

These events have provided Dr. Lowenstein with the opportunity to connect with colleagues and the community.

“It really is rewarding,” he said in a video by the American Dental Association.

The 2020 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is now an assistant professor in the department of basic and clinical translational sciences at his alma mater.

The ADA New Dentist Committee chose the recipients of the 10 Under 10 Award for demonstrating excellence and inspiring others in science, research and education; practice excellence; philanthropy; leadership; and advocacy. All 10 awardees are ADA members who graduated from dental school less than 10 years ago. The honorees were announced in March 2025 during Elevate in Washington, D.C.
