Free event to take place July 27

The American Dental Association and KeyBank will host a free webinar July 27 to break down the major changes to federal student loan repayment that took effect this month.

Joe McGrath of KeyBank will address how the updates could impact dental students’ and dentists’ monthly payments, repayment options and long-term plans. He will also share details about the free 30-minute student loan consultation with KeyBank experts that is available to ADA members.

During the webinar, which begins at 7 p.m. CDT, attendees will learn:

• What the One Big Beautiful Bill Act is and what changes took effect.
• How the new rules may impact federal student loan payments.
• What to consider to avoid surprises and plan ahead.

The event will also include a live Q&A during which participants can get answers to their specific questions.

The webinar will be moderated by ADA New Dentist Committee Chair Kayla Klingensmith, D.M.D., and include information from ADA lobbyist Nicholas Cargas on how the Association continues to advocate for meaningful student loan reforms on dentists’ behalf.
