OSAP unveils new website, continuing education center
The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention, or OSAP, announced Aug. 5 it launched a new website and online education platform, both designed to offer a more customized experience and help address the needs of the oral health care community.
The website, osap.org , includes a new feature called “My Community,” where members can engage with each other. Members can upload photos, create albums, add status messages to share what they’re working on, engage in special interest groups and send private messages.
The website also added an OSAP event calendar that allows members to see upcoming events and “OSAP on the Move” feature that shows meetings and events where OSAP leadership will be attending.
In addition, OSAP launched a new Infection Prevention and Safety CE Center , a one-stop shop for members and the oral health community that can help them meet their infection prevention and control educational needs. The CE center now includes more than 25 courses available for continuing education.
“OSAP’s mission to be the leading provider of infection prevention and control education, training and credentialing that supports safe dental visits,” said OSAP Executive Director Michelle Lee in a news release. “For years, the OSAP board has wanted to be able to provide more online education options. The creation of the [CE center] will help us to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of the oral health care community.”
