Saturday Keynote to ignite imaginations

Session features award-winning speaker, spotlights outstanding service

...
Mr. Scharenbroich

The SmileCon Saturday Keynote is designed to ignite imaginations and the possibilities ahead as attendees will leave feeling inspired, connected to the profession, and full of ideas until the Association and its members meet again in New Orleans in 2024.

The Saturday Keynote will be held in South Hall A on Oct. 7 from 8:15-9:30 a.m.

Award-winning speaker Mark Scharenbroich, the keynote speaker, will take the audience for a ride as he shows how to make meaningful connections professionally as well as personally. His “Nice Bike” principle is supported by three strong actions: acknowledge, honor and connect.

During the Saturday session, the ADA will honor Bill Milner, D.D.S., the 2023 Humanitarian Award recipient. Dr. Milner is the founder of Access Dental Care, a nonprofit mobile onsite provider committed to serving the elderly, patients with special health needs and other patients who often have trouble accessing dental services.

The ADA will also fete John D.B. Featherstone, Ph.D., the ADA’s Distinguished Service Award recipient. Over the past 34 years, Dr. Featherstone’s research has covered several aspects of cariology, with emphasis on caries prevention and early caries removal. He is currently active in implementing caries management by risk assessment in several dental schools across the nation.

Not to be missed is an address by incoming ADA President Linda Edgar, D.D.S., who will outline the Association’s vision of 2024 and beyond.

The Saturday session is hosted by Stephanie R. Ganter, D.D.S., and Robert G. McNeill, D.D.S., M.D., hosts of the Between Two Teeth channel on YouTube.
