ADA named Best-in-Class employer

Association honored for supporting professional, personal well-being

...

The American Dental Association has been named a Best-in-Class Employer by Gallagher, a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm.

The recognition comes from the ADA’s performance in Gallagher’s 2024 U.S. Benefits Strategy & Benchmarking Survey, which looks at how mid-size and large organizations invest in benefits, compensation and the employee experience.

“The ADA is honored to be recognized as a Best-in-Class Employer. This accolade underscores our commitment to creating a supportive and dynamic workplace, where our team members can thrive personally and professionally,” said Raymond A. Cohlmia, D.D.S., ADA executive director. “We believe that a healthy, confident, and growth-minded staff is the key to our organization’s success and sustainability. Being Best in Class is a testament to the culture we have built together.”

In the survey, the ADA earned points based on its performance in:

  • Planning horizons for the benefits and compensation strategies.
  • Extent of its well-being strategy.
  • Turnover rate for full-time equivalents.
  • Completion of a workforce engagement survey.
  • Use of a human resources technology strategy and its level of sophistication.
  • Difference in health care costs over the prior year.

The ADA’s offerings to employees include comprehensive health plans, flexibility that enables work-life balance and programs to help them plan for their futures.

Gallagher's analysis profiles statistically significant attributes of top-performing midsize (100-999 full-time equivalents) and large employers (1,000 or more full-time equivalents).

“The ADA provides robust total rewards offerings to employees, which include professional development and recognition opportunities that further strengthen our teams,” said Judith Fleeks, the ADA’s chief human resources officer. “We are thrilled to be celebrated for creating an empowering work environment where staff feel appreciated. We are committed to continuing our efforts to lead and innovate in this area.”
