Filmmaker Brett Culp to deliver SmileCon 2025 keynote address
Dentists’ hopes, challenges to shape Opening Session
Brett Culp — an acclaimed filmmaker, social entrepreneur and keynote speaker whose films have been featured on Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video — will deliver the keynote address during the SmileCon 2025 Opening Session.
Mr. Culp’s documentaries include “Look to the Sky,” “Legends of the Knight” and “A Voice That Carries.” He has been featured in USA Today, WIRED, the Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter and many more publications, as well as on “Entertainment Tonight.”
Mr. Culp is the co-founder of The Rising Heroes Project, a 501(c)(3) that supports charitable organizations and empowers community leaders, and he delivers 50 keynotes each year to a wide variety of organizations and industries. The Opening Session will take place from 8-9:15 a.m. Oct. 23 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
“The Opening Session is inspired by ADA members like you and me. Our challenges, insights and hopes help shape this session,” said ArNelle Wright, D.M.D., SmileCon’s ADA member host. “The session will help reconnect you with your passion for dentistry and send you forward into the remainder of the meeting with purpose. We hope this event will stir up feelings of pride, accomplishment, hope and fun.”
Dr. Wright, known on social media as “The Daily Dentist,” is the owner of Oral Health & Wellness of Oviedo in Florida. She is the co-host of the ADA’s award-winning “Dental Sound Bites” podcast, and for the past three years, she has served as SmileCon’s “member on the street,” acting as a live correspondent and influencer delivering the energy and excitement of SmileCon directly to the ADA’s online audience.
The Opening Session will feature remarks from ADA President Brett Kessler, D.D.S., and President-elect Richard Rosato, D.M.D. It is free to attend for those with a Smile Pass or a one- or two-day pass that includes Oct. 23.
