JADA’s impact factor rises nearly full point to 4.4
Measure illustrates how often journal is cited
The Journal of the American Dental Association’s impact factor has risen nearly a full point — from 3.5 to 4.4, according to Clarivate’s Journal Citation Reports for 2025, which were released June 17.
JADA now ranks 19th among 165 journals in the dentistry, oral surgery and medicine category.
The jump comes after the journal’s impact factor previously increased from 3.1 to 3.5 in 2024. Impact factors are based on the number of times a journal’s articles are cited.
“This significant rise in JADA's impact factor and journal standing is a direct reflection of the exceptional manuscripts being submitted by authors worldwide and the stellar work of our editorial team and staff,” said Tim Wright, D.D.S., editor-in-chief of JADA. “The improving metrics help to attract the world's best researchers, ensuring JADA gets access to groundbreaking studies.”
