ADA 2026 Scientific Session highlights value of peer-to-peer connections

Dentists can exchange insights to bring back to own practices

The ADA 2026 Scientific Session is designed to create opportunities to converse and learn outside of educational programming.

Because some of the most valuable learning happens between sessions, the ADA 2026 Scientific Session is designed to create opportunities for conversations not only during educational programming, but before and after too.

Through conversations with peers, dentists can exchange insights about clinical techniques, technology adoption, workflow improvements and patient communication strategies and take them back to their own practices. Being surrounded by dentists from different states, career stages and practice modalities can provide attendees with fresh perspectives on challenges and treatment approaches.

“That’s exactly why the ADA 2026 Scientific Session is designed the way it is,” said Mia Geisinger, D.D.S., past chair of the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and one of the speakers at the Scientific Session, taking place Oct. 8-10 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The hands-on learning offered at the Scientific Session naturally lends itself to discussion and collaboration. Being in person means participants can ask questions, receive immediate feedback and engage directly with speakers and peers, helping to deepen their understanding and increase their confidence.

“If you don’t really get out and try to learn in person, you’re going to get behind,” said Grace La, D.M.D., a Virginia dentist and past attendee of the ADA’s annual session.

Learning will continue in the exhibit hall, where there will be additional opportunities to discuss new technologies, evaluate products alongside colleagues and hear firsthand how peers are integrating innovations into their practices.

Registration for the Scientific Session is open. Course descriptions and speaker details are available in the agenda builder. To learn more and register, visit ADA.org/SciSession.
