2024 could be ‘make or break’ for small business owners

A recent survey of 2,000 small business owners found about 40% believe 2024 will be a “make-or-break” year for their businesses.

Nearly half reported their businesses performed somewhat or much better than anticipated in 2023.

While more than 70% of the owners said they are feeling optimistic, about a third are worried they won’t survive through the end of the year. Their main concerns for 2024 include inflation/economic conditions; the need to raise prices; rising competition; the need to update their technology but not having the budget to do so; and the feeling the technology they use is getting outdated.
