22 tips to care for teeth

Experts have offered 22 tips to help individuals improve their oral hygiene and protect their teeth, according to a news article published in The Guardian.

The experts cited in the news article revealed that regularly caring for teeth and gums can help individuals prevent oral health issues later in life and avoid costly procedures. Among the advice was to limit the consumption of foods and beverages high in refined sugars, wait 30 minutes after eating to brush in order to allow for the saliva to strengthen the enamel, brush prior to breakfast and just before sleep with fluoride toothpaste for at least two minutes, use an electric toothbrush to brush more thoroughly and avoid using mouthwash just after brushing.

Individuals were also reminded to brush both sides of the mouth and teeth as well as the tongue and gums. The experts emphasized the importance of flossing and managing stress levels. They concluded that individuals should regularly visit their dentists to help protect their teeth and address oral health issues.
