Artificial intelligence highlights decay
Artificial intelligence in dentistry is being implemented all over Vermont. At Stowe Family Dentistry, patients leave knowing more about their oral health than before thanks to the technology, said John Hirce, D.M.D.
“It answered a lot of the questions that we have on a daily basis in the office trying to explain what X-rays are, which part is the gray part, which part is the darker gray part, you know, trying to differentiate between what’s important and what’s not,” Dr. Hirce said.
The practice uses AI software that highlights decay and infections from X-rays.
