Bad breath: common but preventable
Nobody wants bad breath, but are they turned off enough to investigate what causes it? Bad breath is often associated with tooth decay and plaque buildup around a patient’s teeth can be a sign to look out for.
"Persistent bad breath can be a warning sign of gum disease, which is caused by genetics, leftover plaque or both," said Mirissa Price, D.M.D., ADA spokesperson and a pediatric dentist at Boston Children’s Hospital.
