CDC could reconsider COVID-19 isolation guidance

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention could be pulling back its isolation guidance for people with COVID-19, according to the Washington Post. 

Currently, the CDC advises those who test positive to stay home for at least five days to reduce the chances of transmission. But under the new conditions, people would no longer have to stay home if they haven’t had a fever for at least 24 hours without medication and symptoms are mild and improving.

According to the Post, the agency officials “spoke on the condition of anonymity to share internal discussions.” The CDC is expected to release the guidance in April for public feedback.
