Companies offer support for White House Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose

The Biden administration announced that more than 250 organizations have pledged to contribute to the White House Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose.

The program was introduced to boost access to naloxone and other potentially life-saving opioid reversal medications and reduce the burden of opioid overdoses across the United States. As a result of ongoing efforts to make medications like naloxone available as over-the-counter treatments, the United States has seen a notable drop in overdose-related deaths.

Among the organizations that have offered voluntary commitments to the Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose are the American Heart Association, Amazon, United Airlines, the National Hockey League and other private and public entities specializing in entertainment, hospitality, sports, health care, education, technology, transportation and faith.
