Delta Dental Institute reopens Oral Health Diversity Fund
The Delta Dental Institute reaffirmed its commitment to promoting diversity in the oral health workforce by reopening its Oral Health Diversity Fund, which supports initiatives aimed at encouraging school-aged children from underrepresented communities to pursue careers in oral health.
Delta will allocate up to $1 million annually. "Increasing the diversity of the oral health workforce is essential to improving oral and overall health outcomes," said James W. Hutchison, president and CEO of Delta Dental Plans Association. "Delta Dental is proud to continue investing in innovative programs that encourage minority students to consider a career in the oral health professions." The application period for this year's fund is open until May 31, and interested parties based in the United States, including nonprofits and private businesses, are eligible to apply.
This initiative is part of the Delta Dental Institute's broader campaign, "Driving Greater Diversity in the Oral Health Workforce," which aims to support programs fostering diversity through education, research, and community engagement.
