Dentist honored for helping underinsured receive dental care

A dentist in Dayton, Ohio, was recently recognized for her commitment to community-based work. 

Shanetta Sutton, D.D.S., was named the 2023 Free Clinic Dentist of the Year by the Charitable Healthcare Network in partnership with the Ohio Department of Health.

Dr. Sutton started volunteering for Good Neighbor House around 2009. She eventually closed her own private practice to join the nonprofit organization full time.
