Dentist to compete in ‘The Great American Baking Show’

New York City dentist Jennifer Reyes, D.D.S., is a contestant on the Roku Channel’s game show, "The Great American Baking Show," airing its second season.

The home baker said, “There’s an exactness and science that goes into baking that really coincided with my career as a dentist.” 

Dr. Reyes said that when she was in dental school, she started a club and to get more people to sign up, she promised to make cookies for everyone.

“Then all of a sudden, my club was huge. I would bake cookies for classmates, and I really enjoyed that. It was a different outlet and something I could do for myself and be proud of.”

The season began May 24.
