Dentist wins city council race
Among the victorious campaigns of the 2025 general election was Kyle Bogan, D.D.S., president of the Ohio Dental Association, who was elected Nov. 4 to the city council in Delaware, Ohio, according to a report from NBC4.
In a candidate questionnaire published in The Columbus Dispatch, Dr. Bogan explained that he ran on several key issues: investing in the city, people and infrastructure of Delaware, Ohio; solving long-standing financial challenges to fund future projects; and supporting the workforce through the prioritization of local talent, expansion of job opportunities and alignment of education with economic needs.
He emphasized that his experience managing complex budgets, strategic leadership style rooted in transparency and collaboration, and ability to foster trusted relationships have prepared him to tackle his city’s challenges. In his new role serving on the Delaware City Council, Dr. Bogan hopes to encourage smart development in neighborhoods, business districts and public spaces as well as maintain vital infrastructure.
“I’ve built a career on making [change] happen through collaboration, transparency and action. … I’ll bring that same energy and commitment to City Council, working every day to build a Delaware that’s vibrant, sustainable and ready for the future,” Dr. Bogan concluded.
