E. coli outbreak linked to raw cheddar
An E. coli outbreak has been linked to cheddar cheese made from raw, or unpasteurized, milk.
The manufacturer, Raw Farm LLC, has agreed to recall the products, which are sold nationwide.
The contaminated food includes both original and jalapeño flavors in all block sizes and shredded packages.
Customers should not eat any raw cheddar cheese from Raw Farm and instead throw the products away or return them to the store where they were purchased.
Symptoms of E. coli include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting, although some people may develop serious kidney problems.
Ten people in four states have reportedly gotten sick from the outbreak. Four were hospitalized.
