FDA offers resources for National Minority Health Month

April is National Minority Health Month. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Minority Health and Health Equity is marking the month with various efforts to advance health equity and reduce health disparities among racial and ethnic minority and other diverse populations.

The office will host a panel discussion April 17 on strategies to increase clinical trial participation for diverse communities. Its webpage also offers resources and health education materials in 11 languages.

This year’s theme for the month is “Be the Source for Better Health: Improving Health Outcomes Through Our Cultures, Communities, and Connections,” which highlights the important role of diverse communities, organizations and individuals in achieving the Office of Minority Health and Health Equity’s mission.
