Flu vaccine effective in keeping people out of emergency rooms

This season's influenza vaccine has been effective at reducing the risk of hospitalization, according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Influenza vaccination coverage has been lower this season than in the previous season and lower than coverage before the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the agency.
