Free COVID-19 testing kits available to order

The U.S. government announced that another round of free COVID-19 tests are available to order as respiratory virus season begins.

Households are permitted to order four test kits, which will be capable of detecting the newest variants of the virus, according to a news report from CNN. Already, over 900 million test kits have been distributed as part of the government’s testing program.

Public health officials emphasized that testing for a COVID-19 infection can help speed up the time to treatment, minimize transmission and reduce the risk of severe infections. Further, Americans aged six months and older should plan for holiday gatherings by receiving an updated COVID-19 vaccine.
