High time for National Children’s Dental Health Month

On Feb. 3, 1941, in Cleveland, a single-day event focused on dental health in kids. 

In 1981, the event blossomed into the monthlong celebration now called National Children’s Dental Health Month. 

Delta Dental of Michigan is especially excited about the launch of a new program that mandates dental screenings for school-aged kids.

Signed into law in January by the Michigan governor, the law aims to enhance oral health awareness and identify potential issues early on while kickstarting a lifetime of 
good oral health practices.
