Is acetaminophen safe during pregnancy?

A large study found no link between acetaminophen use in pregnancy and autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder or intellectual disability in children.

This contradicts recent research suggesting a connection. The study's strength lies in its size and sibling analysis, which controls for confounding factors.

Pregnant women should still consult their doctor before taking any medication, investigators said.
