Kamala Harris touts student loan forgiveness for borrowers

In a speech to the American Federation of Teachers, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke about the Biden administration’s continued efforts to mitigate student loans for millions of borrowers.

Ms. Harris said in the speech that the administration has already forgiven student loan debt for nearly 5 million Americans, including teachers and other public servants.

She warned that the Public Service Loan Forgiveness and other federal student debt relief initiatives may be in danger as a result of opposition.
