Complete neurologic recovery could lead to improved survival in patients who experienced cardiac arrest.
In a study published in JAMA Network Open, investigators examined long-term survival in more than 9,000 cardiac arrest survivors.
At hospital discharge, the patients who achieved complete neurologic recovery experienced greater long-term survival compared with the patients who experienced moderate or severe disabilities or coma.
