New ADA login method coming in early September

In an effort to streamline account access and enhance services and support, the ADA announced that on Sept. 10, the organization will implement a new login procedure. The move comes after the ADA has decided to upgrade to a more modern technology system and strengthen account security.

Prior to Sept. 2, ADA members should review their account information to make sure they have included a unique email address on file. After this date, members will not be able to change their account information until the transition is completed.

Beginning on Sept. 10, the ADA noted that members will be prompted to reset their passwords and enter their unique email address to serve as a username. After this date, members will only need their email address and password to log in to ADA web properties — including ADA.org, the Journal of the American Dental Association, the ADA Member App and many state and local dental society webpages. Members will no longer be required to use their member number.

Accessing ADA resources and ordering from the ADA Store will be uninterrupted through the transition period of Sept. 3 to 5; however, all orders will ship on or after Sept. 10. Although continuing education courses can still be ordered and completed during the transition, online registration for CE workshops and other ADA events will be paused. The ADA advised all members having difficulties logging in to contact the Member Service Center for support.
