New dental hygiene program launches
College of the Mainland, a community college in Texas, is accepting applications for its new dental hygiene associate degree program.
Slated to begin this fall, the program will offer small class sizes to allow for individualized attention, new facilities such as a lab and clinic with advanced equipment and on-campus opportunities for students to fulfill clinical patient hours.
The ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation is in the process of reviewing the program, having conducted a site visit earlier this month. The program’s accreditation status is estimated to be determined in August.
