Predictors of oral squamous cell carcinoma outcomes

...

A study may have uncovered prognostic factors in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma.

In a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis published in Oral Diseases, investigators used the MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science and Scopus databases to identify 255 studies involving 63,114 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma.

The findings highlighted the critical need to develop more effective strategies for the early diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma.
