Survey reveals potential changes in 2025 job market
The National Association of Colleges and Employers asked employers about their hiring plans and found they expect to hire over 7% more recent college graduates in 2025 compared with in 2024. They’re attributing this to succession planning and a need to build talent. Further, salaries for 2025 college graduates with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree seeking employment will likely rise.
However, fewer respondents rated the 2025 job market as very good or excellent compared with in 2024. Among employers who stated they will reduce hiring, budget cuts were cited as the driving factor in the decision.
