WSDA’s dental benefits reform legislation becomes law

The governor of Washington, Bob Ferguson, has signed Senate Bill 5351 into law.
The bill, introduced by Washington State Dental Association, aims to a reform dental benefits legislation across the state of Washington by prohibiting same-day denials, eliminating the requirement that dental offices accept virtual credit card payments with processing fees as well as obligating stakeholders to undergo a fact-based, data-driven mediation process on dental loss ratio and non-network reimbursement fairness.
Gov. Ferguson hopes the new legislation can help improve dental benefits and patient care in Washington.
