Dentists encouraged to update CAQH ProView profile by Feb. 28

The Association is encouraging dentists to update or complete their CAQH ProView profile after Humana announced last summer that it is moving its dental provider network to the ADA credentialing service, powered by CAQH ProView for their credentialing and recredentialing business needs.

The ADA credentialing service enables all dentists, regardless of their ADA membership status, to enter their professional information once, at no cost, in CAQH’s easy-to-use, fast, protected and centralized database.

Though centralized, the dentist controls who has access to their data. When completing their CAQH ProView profile, the dentist will be prompted to decide which dental plans and other participating organizations they want to grant access their credentialing data. A number of dental payers already participate in CAQH ProView and the up-to-date list can be viewed on CAQH’s website here.

Dentists in the Humana network are being asked to complete their CAQH ProView profiles by Feb. 28. The ADA's Member Service Center is here to help both member and nonmember dentists alike in how to log in and access their CAQH ProView profile through the ADA credentialing service.

In an effort to reduce administrative burdens on dentists, the ADA and CAQH formed an alliance in late 2017 to help streamline the credentialing process for dentists and participating organizations they work with, such as payers, hospitals and employers. Dentists can log in to the ADA credentialing service at ADA.org/godigital using their ADA ID number — all U.S. license dentists have an ADA ID # regardless of their membership status. Once logged in, the ADA will connect the user to their CAQH ProView profile.

To update your CAQH ProView profile, visit ADA.org/godigital .

For more information or assistance in logging in or resetting ADA account passwords, contact the ADA Member Service Center at 1-800-621-8099, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. CT, or email msc@ada.org .

If you have questions, concerns or should need to request a paper application from Humana directly, email dentalcredentialing@humana.com .
