ADA, ADA Forsyth announce formation of ADA Corporate Partners

Think tank aims to unite key dental industry leaders

A new think tank from the American Dental Association and ADA Forsyth Institute aims to unite key leaders in the dental industry to advance the profession and patient care globally.

ADA Corporate Partners, announced by the organizations Nov. 26, seeks to leverage the combined strengths of the ADA, ADA Forsyth and leading dental companies to foster research and innovation in oral and overall health.

“The purpose of ADA Corporate Partners is to create new opportunities for collaboration among industry leaders, with the goal of enhancing global oral health and eliminating oral disease,” said Raymond Cohlmia, D.D.S., ADA executive director and ADA Forsyth board chair. “As the anchor of the think tank, the ADA seeks to break down silos across the dental ecosystem to unlock new opportunities for progress, amplify innovation and solutions in oral health care, and reaffirm its commitment to helping members succeed and advancing public health as a professional organization.”

Companies must play a role in oral health care delivery to participate in ADA Corporate Partners. The initial list of partners includes global oral care consumer and professional product companies Colgate Palmolive Co., Kenvue, GC America, Young Innovations, Upcera and CareStream; startup companies OraBio, Overjet, Pearl AI, Voyager Dental and Oral Genome; distribution companies Henry Schein and Patterson; insurance companies Delta Dental, United Concordia and Alliant Insurance Services; dental support organization PDS Health and the Association of Dental Support Organizations; and dental investors CareCapital, CareQuest and the Dental Trade Alliance. Additional partners will be announced in the coming months.

ADA Corporate Partners will convene its inaugural meeting in January 2025. Updates will be shared as the group’s work progresses. The think tank has no governing authority over the ADA and does not influence ADA policy.

“Leaders in the industry have long anticipated the formation of a collaborative group like the corporate partners,” said ADA Forsyth CEO Wenyuan Shi, Ph.D. “With the integration of the ADA and AFI, the time has come to make this vision a reality.”
