“Three Things You Missed in Government This Week” is designed to offer a way to stay informed on the topics of the week. 1.   The Trump administration announced June 5 two locations that will demonstrate a point-of-care technology to prevent intravenous fluid shortages in the U.S. Caspian, an automated point-of-care sterile saline manufacturing system, began development in 2019 in response to President Donald Trump’s efforts to address persistent medical supply chain disruptions.

2.    The Government Accountability Office met with the ADA as part of its work under the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act. The discussion focused on the implementation of Veterans Community Care program reimbursement and oral health programs such as VETSmile.

3.    The ADA announced it will hold a webinar covering information for dentists wishing to treat Medicare beneficiaries and outlining other new requirements for Medicare billing set to begin July 1. The webinar will take place June 17.
